Like a venomous black widow spider Halloween is creeping closer to us, ready to stick its fangs into our flesh and poison us with all its harrowing horrors.
I delight in this season of screams, and find great joy in sending the patrons of my haunts into fits of unbridled terror.
This final week before the holiday will bring with it pain and suffering upon all those who dare choose to enter my feargrounds.
I anticipate big crowds hoping to be freaked by my collection of ghastly ghouls and malicious monsters.
They will not be disappointed.
In fact they will be rewarded for their efforts.

Dark nights. Brisk winds. Screams galore.
This is how I like to spend my weekends in October.
I sent many patrons shivering and stammering into the cool autumn air; wishing they never dared to step foot into my hallways of horrors.
Encountering my wide range of gruesome ghouls is enough to cause even the most virile of males to cower like a frightened kitten; their significant others sniveling like toddlers, hoping the "white knight" clutching their clammy hand will somehow save them from a fate that so cruelly awaits...
Fools! They enter my corridors not realizing what lies around each corner, in every room, behind a wall, within a crawlspace...
But I do.
And on this weekend before Halloween I will share these horrors with them.

The Gory Details

The Chaos continues....
I spent another weekend scaring hapless souls that dared to step into my house of horrors.
It may have felt like summer outside, but within the confines of my palace of plight, panicstricken patrons felt chills up and down their spines!
My minions of terror followed yours unruly for evenings of sheer, uncompromising fear.
Screams echoed throughout the corridors as patrons found themselves face to face with my sisters, our demons, and other monstrosities to unimaginable to be named.
Those that managed to escape the torment were grateful to feel the warm autumn air on their faces and to gaze upon a nearly full moon.
Next weekend those patrons brave enough to trespass on my feargrounds may not have it so lucky.
For I Morgana, feel no mercy for those that revel in "cheap thrills" at my expense.
Bring them forth. I'll show them.
They'll wish they had never crossed paths with me-Morgana!

THE GORY DETAILS

There is nothing that touches my stone cold heart like the sound of a bloodcurdling scream.
.
I lay dormant for an entire year, enduring the harsh Wisconsin winter and the heat of summer in anticipation of the arrival of unsuspecting visitors each fall.
I rose from darkness on October 3rd to summon my minions of mischief and mayhem; to bring terror and torment to those souls that dare tread upon my unhallowed grounds.
These souls came in droves: one by one they braved the crisp autumn air, the disorienting darkness, the fear of the unknown - to walk within my haunted homestead.
My warnings were made clear, yet still they came. They always do.
These brave souls were greeted by my minions of demons and monsters; the undead and the unhinged.
You could sense the patrons' fear. It was palpable. wide eyes, dropped jaws and pallid expressions.
The horror was too great for some: many buried their faces in the backs of their friends, fled on foot to escape an anticipated fate, or simply threw up their hands and cried out Stop! "I QUIT!"
But who could fault them? My home is not the place to visit if you have a weak heart.
For it is there that all of your nightmares become reality!
I anticipate more will come visit me this fall as the season of screams lures all with in my grasp!

Morgan Manor's own Ophelia and Lilith took Miss Scary Midwest and First Runner Up (respectively) at the Midwest Haunters Convention this past weekend in Columbus, Ohio. All of us here at Morgan Manor want to congratulate our beautiful (and SCARY!) Femme Fatales on their win!
